This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +1 more state.
• Report directly to the Aftermarket & Plant Solutions Manager.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with principal manufacturers, engineers, contractors, and end-users within the designated territory.
• Collaborate with team members to guarantee customer satisfaction from the project's inception to installation and beyond.
• Conduct problem analysis, evaluate product applications, assist in product selection, offer design/application development support, recommend specifications, and oversee estimating, scope development, bidding, and startup commissioning.
• Assess competitive dynamics in the territory and formulate sales strategies accordingly.
• Contribute to annual business planning and effectively communicate the sales strategy to management.
• Identify opportunities to maximize buy-resale for customers and principal manufacturers while weighing risks and rewards.
• Commit to continuous improvement in sales skills and product knowledge.
• Build strategic alliances with engineers, owners, contractors, and other essential stakeholders.
• Recognize potential future capital improvements and engineered sales opportunities, relaying this information to relevant departments.
• Represent Ferguson Process Solutions at industry-related events and organizations.
• Advocate for additional Ferguson offerings within Process Solutions.
• Travel with principal manufacturer partners to uncover opportunities and deliver technical solutions.
• Establish connections with plant operators, maintenance staff, and utility leadership.
• Over 5 years of experience in the water and wastewater industry.
• More than 5 years of experience in technical sales.
• A strong technical background and proficiency in water and wastewater systems.
• Preferred possession of wastewater or drinking water licenses.
• BS/AS degree, technical training, industry certifications, or equivalent industry experience is preferred.
• Experience with pumps, pumping systems, and related mechanical equipment is a plus.
• Active participation in committees and board roles within industry associations is advantageous.
• Exceptional communication, time management, and organizational skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, leadership qualities, and listening skills.
• General digital literacy is essential.
• Self-motivated with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and learn swiftly.
• Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner, foster relationships, and thrive in a team environment.
