Disaster Response Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Evaluate global incident notifications and formulate response strategies based on the severity of threats and their impact on the business.

• Engage in proactive research to monitor worldwide threats and events that may affect Airbnb stakeholders.

• Utilize internal tools to communicate effectively with both internal and external communities.

• Prepare and coordinate messaging related to preparedness and response for various audiences.

• Make essential business decisions while considering trade-offs and advantages.

• Collaborate on disaster response initiatives with cross-functional teams.

• Act as the primary contact for the GCM Disaster Response team's responsibilities and actions.

• Deliver situation reports and critical updates to stakeholders.

• Contribute to product and process enhancement initiatives.

• Work closely with the operations manager to formulate improvement recommendations.

• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in global disaster response, threat monitoring and assessment, intelligence analysis, or a related discipline.

• Proven experience in monitoring, evaluating, and responding to global threats, disasters, and crises.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to adhere to established procedures.

• High reliability in meeting schedule requirements and thriving in a fast-paced environment.

• Willingness to travel occasionally as necessary.

• Availability for a Tuesday-Saturday schedule from 8am to 5pm GMT/BST, with potential work on company and national holidays and occasional unexpected hours.
