Loan Servicing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver continuous support for specialized loan products, encompassing loan modifications, ARM loans, SCRA adjustments, and assumptions.

• Revise servicing-system data fields to ensure compliance and accommodate special-loan modifications.

• Conduct research and implement accurate, timely system adjustments for investor, customer, and internal requests.

• Examine and uphold ARM contracts, indexes, and balloon plans; generate contracts as necessary.

• Keep daily index values updated and populate ARM indices to facilitate payment calculations and notifications.

• Review pending payment alterations and future payment-change notifications for accuracy.

• Provide assistance to CMS departments regarding special-loan inquiries, particularly those related to modifications.

• Audit the loan servicing portfolio to identify loans eligible for SCRA protection and dispatch coverage letters.

• Investigate SCRA compliance and refresh the servicing system accordingly.

• Handle assumption requests, prepare and distribute assumption packages, and track approvals.

• Analyze HAMP modifications for principal reductions, borrower incentives, and recast eligibility.

• Oversee, assess, and finalize 203k processes for acquired loans.

• Identify gaps in policies and procedures and suggest updates to management.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory; some college coursework is preferred.

• One (1) to two (2) years of experience in mortgage servicing is required.

• Familiarity with specialized loan product types and their documentation is preferred.

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential.

• Understanding of special loan product types and their associated documentation.

• Capability to comprehend, retain, and relay routine, factual information effectively.

• Capacity to make decisions that significantly impact the immediate work unit and monitor the broader effects.

• Ability to organize and prioritize one's work schedule effectively on a short-term basis.

• Competence in performing basic arithmetic and accurately recording, balancing, and verifying results.

• Proficient in communicating orally with others in a clear, audible, and swift manner.

• Ability to operate in alignment with company policies and relevant US state and federal regulations.
