This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
β’ Drive growth and secure orders for the UK Drives business by engaging in direct and indirect sales within the UK water sector.
β’ Develop and maintain crucial stakeholder relationships across water companies and industry organizations within the assigned territory.
β’ Promote and sell a diverse array of drive products and services directly to clients and through various sales channels.
β’ Create, plan, and execute sales strategies and business development initiatives that align with the global sales strategy and AMP.
β’ Meet sales targets, budgets, and sales efficiency objectives.
β’ Set sales targets and implement improvement plans as necessary.
β’ Collaborate with different business units to enhance market share and fortify ABB's standing in the water sector.
β’ Identify opportunities with existing and potential new customers, and formulate acquisition plans and resource allocation.
β’ Coordinate sales information and transactions, including leads, billing, orders, and contracts.
β’ Analyze data, monitor market intelligence, and provide reports to Marketing and Sales.
β’ Foster strong relationships with key customers.
β’ Oversee relevant frameworks and supplier agreements.
β’ Build and sustain relationships with key decision-makers and ensure effective marketing communications.
β’ Meet sales volume and product mix targets by establishing appropriate pricing and margins.
β’ Engage in negotiations for key contracts and manage ongoing expenses.
β’ Assess client financial status and report changes in risk to internal partner teams.
β’ Identify and manage risks associated with contract agreements.
β’ Own sales processes and related training and development plans, actions, and programs.
β’ Travel frequently to customer sites and ABB locations while working from a home-based office.
β’ Familiarity with the UK water industry regulatory framework (Ofwat, Environment Agency standards, WIMES).
β’ Strong ethical and commercial acumen.
β’ At least 3 years of sales experience, preferably in an engineering-related environment.
β’ Highly organized and self-sufficient.
β’ A valid driving license.
β’ Demonstrated expertise in variable speed drives and automation solutions, with the ability to communicate technical advantages to water industry stakeholders.
β’ Strong industry connections throughout the water sector.
β’ A degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
