This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and direct comprehensive record-to-report operations, encompassing general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, intercompany accounting, fixed assets, accruals and prepayments, balance sheet examinations, period-end closings, and financial reporting.
• Ensure that tasks are completed accurately within established timelines and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Assess operational performance, identify risks and bottlenecks, and implement necessary corrective measures.
• Lead a substantial RTR team through managers, assistant managers, team leaders, and subject matter experts (SMEs).
• Set performance expectations while managing staffing, workload allocation, and resource utilization.
• Coach, mentor, and develop talent, while also supporting succession planning efforts.
• Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders, conduct governance meetings, handle escalations, and resolve issues.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, accounting standards, SOX requirements, and client-specific controls.
• Assist with internal and external audits and address audit observations effectively.
• Spearhead initiatives for process simplification, standardization, automation, digitization, Lean methodologies, and Six Sigma practices.
• Collaborate with Automation, Technology, and Transformation teams on RPA, workflow automation, AI, and analytics solutions.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) including SLA compliance, closing timelines, journal entry accuracy, reconciliation aging, quality, productivity, backlog, and customer satisfaction.
• Support initiatives related to workforce planning, capacity management, budgeting, productivity, efficiency, and cost optimization.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) / Chartered Accountant Intermediate (CA Inter) / Cost Management Accountant (CMA).
• 5–7 years of post-qualification experience.
• Experience in team management is essential.
• Preference for candidates located in Mumbai.
• Must be open to working from the office in Mumbai–Thane.
• Availability to work US shifts from 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM is required.
