Warehouse Control System Automation Manager – Software

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Implement, review, integrate, test, and provide support for Material Handling Software solutions and their implementations.

• Lead or assist Project Teams in implementation, creating functional specifications, interface specifications, testing, tracking issues, and conducting trend analysis.

• Lead or aid in MHE enhancement projects by evaluating, planning implementations, testing, documenting, delivering, deploying, and closing out projects.

• Lead or support training and assistance for automated Material Handling solutions.

• Engage in designing, developing, testing, and implementing technology solutions for organizational cybersecurity requirements.

• Prepare initial user requirements, provide WCS support/modifications, and create documentation materials.

• Create and launch training programs and materials for end-users and clients.

• Assist in business intelligence initiatives and related projects.

• Provide support to division operations during evenings and weekends as required.

• Carry out related duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences, or a similar combination of experience and education.

• At least six years of directly relevant and progressively responsible experience working with a Warehouse Control System.

• Proficient understanding of software solutions.

• Programming capabilities in SQL Server/Oracle and/or Visual Studio/Java.

• Experience with Warehouse Material Handling and Automation Systems.

• Proven experience in writing test plans and conducting testing.

• Familiarity with XML, JSON, SFTP, and Telnet is advantageous.

• Knowledge of Python, Azure, PowerBI, Databricks, and VMWare is a plus.

• Understanding of functional and interface specifications and the integration of system components is beneficial.

• Strong issue resolution, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including debugging application code and interface messaging.

• Effective oral and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical resources and external vendors.

• Knowledge of project management principles and the use of related tools.

• Capability to write functional and technical specifications.

• Excellent decision-making and customer service skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and production issues while adhering to delivery timelines.

• Strong ability to prioritize tasks and consistently meet deadlines.

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Willingness to travel up to 20% per year.
