Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Define and lead the engineering roadmap in alignment with product and business priorities.

• Mentor, support, and guide engineers, setting priorities, removing obstacles, and enhancing team performance.

• Make and critically assess architectural and technical decisions with a focus on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

• Oversee complex technical projects from planning through to execution.

• Collaborate with product, sales, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into precise technical objectives.

• Establish and refine development standards, processes, and operational practices throughout the engineering organization.

• Remain technically engaged with the team and provide direct contributions when deeper technical insights or assistance are required.

• Assess new technologies and identify actionable opportunities in Cloud, AI, Blockchain, and other emerging fields.

• Enhance engineering processes, team performance, and quality of delivery as the company grows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience as an Engineering Manager, Engineering Lead, Head of Engineering, or in a similar technical leadership position.

• Strong software engineering background with proficiency in one or more languages such as Python, Ruby, Elixir, or Golang.

• Deep understanding of software architecture, engineering practices, and contemporary development workflows.

• Proven track record in managing engineering teams and successfully delivering complex technical projects.

• Ability to balance technical expertise with people leadership while remaining hands-on when necessary.

• Strong grasp of agile methodologies and modern engineering practices.

• Capability to convert business and product priorities into clear technical execution plans.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Pragmatic problem-solving skills, with the ability to make swift decisions.

• Comfortable working autonomously in a remote, dynamic environment.

• Inquisitive about emerging technologies and skilled at distinguishing practical opportunities from hype.

• Fluency in French is essential.

• Strong English communication skills are required.
