VP of Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Define and implement the engineering strategy in alignment with business and product objectives.

• Lead, develop, and grow multidisciplinary engineering teams, including Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, and specialized technical profiles.

• Establish a clear technological vision, ensuring the scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability of the platform.

• Drive best practices in software development, architecture, testing, observability, DevOps, and continuous delivery.

• Ensure the quality and predictability of delivery by enhancing planning, prioritization, and project tracking processes.

• Collaborate with Product, Design, Data, Operations, and the leadership team to transform business needs into effective technological solutions.

• Participate in strategic decisions related to architecture, technology, investment, hiring, and team organization.

• Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, transparency, and technical excellence.

• Identify technical and operational risks, defining medium- and long-term mitigation and improvement plans.

• Represent the engineering function to internal stakeholders, partners, and other relevant interlocutors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong experience leading engineering organizations in roles such as VP of Engineering, Head of Engineering, Engineering Director, or similar positions.

• Proven track record in developing and scaling digital products, SaaS platforms, or complex technological environments.

• Experience managing distributed teams and growing organizations.

• In-depth knowledge of software architecture, product development, cloud computing, DevOps, and modern engineering practices.

• Ability to connect technological strategy with business goals and customer needs.

• Experience in hiring, developing, and retaining technical talent.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Capability to make complex decisions, prioritize effectively, and work autonomously.

• Results-oriented, strategic thinker with a practical approach to problem-solving.

• Fluent professional English for working in an international environment.

• Proficiency in Spanish or other languages is considered a plus.
