Engineering Manager – French Speaker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Define and guide the engineering roadmap aligned with product and business objectives.

• Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to engineers, prioritizing tasks, eliminating obstacles, and enhancing team performance.

• Make and critically assess architectural and technical decisions with an emphasis on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

• Oversee complex technical projects from the planning stage through to execution.

• Collaborate with product, sales, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into clear technical goals.

• Establish and enhance development standards, processes, and operational methods throughout the engineering organization.

• Maintain close technical involvement with the team and provide direct contributions when in-depth technical input or support is necessary.

• Assess new technologies and pinpoint practical opportunities within Cloud, AI, Blockchain, and other emerging fields.

• Optimize engineering processes, team efficiency, and delivery quality as the company grows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience as an Engineering Manager, Engineering Lead, Head of Engineering, or in a comparable technical leadership position.

• Robust software engineering foundation with expertise in one or more languages such as Python, Ruby, Elixir, or Golang.

• Deep understanding of software architecture, engineering practices, and contemporary development workflows.

• Demonstrated experience in managing engineering teams and executing complex technical projects.

• Capability to balance technical expertise with team leadership, remaining hands-on when necessary.

• Strong grasp of agile methodologies and modern engineering practices.

• Ability to convert business and product priorities into specific technical actions.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Pragmatic problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions and act swiftly.

• Comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.

• Inquisitive about emerging technologies and adept at differentiating practical opportunities from mere hype.

• Fluent in French is a must.

• Proficient in English communication skills are required.

• Willingness to engage in a 3-month consulting contract, with the possibility of renewal based on project requirements.
