This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Lead and manage vulnerability remediation initiatives across technology teams to minimize enterprise risk and align with business goals.
• Ensure that vulnerabilities are correctly assigned, with clear ownership, remediation strategies, timelines, and documented results.
• Maintain oversight of remediation activities across infrastructure, cloud, applications, platforms, networks, and end-user technologies.
• Collaborate with Security and technology teams to prioritize remediation efforts based on risk, business impact, operational requirements, and compliance standards.
• Encourage teamwork among technical and business stakeholders to address vulnerabilities, eliminate obstacles, and ensure timely remediation.
• Track remediation performance, service-level agreements, and aging vulnerabilities, escalating issues and risks as necessary.
• Act as the primary liaison between Security and Technology teams for remediation planning, governance, and continuous enhancement.
• Generate and deliver reports, metrics, and insights for operational, leadership, audit, and governance audiences.
• Assist in the vulnerability exception processes through documentation, reviews, approvals, and ongoing monitoring.
• Identify ways to enhance remediation effectiveness through automation, process enhancements, standardization, and improved tools.
• Proven experience in vulnerability management, cybersecurity, technology operations, service management, risk management, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of vulnerability management practices, including prioritization, remediation planning, exception handling, validation, and reporting.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in intricate technology environments.
• Familiarity with enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, networking, applications, endpoint technologies, and security protocols.
• Proficiency in using vulnerability management or security tools such as Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, Microsoft Defender, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow Vulnerability Response/Management or similar workflow and ticket management systems.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and convey actionable insights.
• Proven ability to influence outcomes, cultivate partnerships, and drive accountability across teams in a collaborative and inclusive manner.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, Security+, ITIL, PMP, or equivalent qualifications.
• Experience supporting cloud security, DevSecOps, compliance, audit, or enterprise governance initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or a comparable combination of education, training, and experience.
• Applicants must reside in the United States, either in one of the 50 States or the District of Columbia.
• Proof of U.S. citizenship is mandatory at the time of hire.
• Must possess work authorization that does not currently, or in the future, require visa sponsorship.
• Successful completion of a background check is required.
