VP, Technology – Product Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Develop and operate the software, commerce, cloud, IT, and security platform.

• Transform the roadmap into a delivered product.

• Lead the Engineering team through the Lead Full Stack Engineer and oversee Infrastructure and Security via the Senior Manager.

• Take responsibility for platform uptime, release velocity, security posture, and associated costs.

• Deliver experiences defined by Digital Experience and launches coordinated by Product.

• Establish engineering standards and uphold quality and reliability as velocity increases.

• Expand the engineering team to include managerial roles, QA and automation, and DevOps capabilities.

• Collaborate with Business Intelligence on instrumentation and with Finance regarding platform expenditures.

• Mentor the leaders of the two sub-organizations and their respective engineering teams.

• Define platform OKRs and conduct engineering reviews focused on uptime, velocity, and costs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience leading engineering and infrastructure for a commerce or consumer platform.

• Proven track record of owning uptime, release velocity, and security posture.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver products based on a roadmap and brief.

• Proficient in managing cloud and platform costs.

• Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or regulated platforms is a plus.

• Background in scaling an engineering organization beyond the founding lead is desirable.
