This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead, develop, train, inspire, and oversee a high-achieving team of field sales executives.
• Foster accountability for meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Spearhead the identification and conversion of sales prospects into finalized business agreements.
• Meet or surpass team sales booking objectives through acquiring new logos and cross-selling to current clients.
• Define and implement business development strategies, processes, budgets, and sales forecasts.
• Discover new market and customer prospects through outreach, growth initiatives, and competitive displacement.
• Establish relationships with customer decision-makers at multiple levels and manage the sales process effectively.
• Maintain target opportunity lists, customer profiles, forecasts, and pipeline tracking within the CRM system.
• Collaborate across a matrixed organization to generate leads and referrals.
• Partner with Business Unit, Product, and Marketing teams to launch products and stimulate early sales.
• Lead the creation of customer-centric value propositions and sales solutions.
• Personally lead sales pursuits when necessary.
• Develop and deliver customer presentations that reinforce the company’s value proposition and brand identity.
• Cultivate a sales leadership culture that connects planning and strategy tools with selling and execution skills.
• Develop and implement performance metrics focused on customer engagement and account development.
• Employ performance and talent management tools for goal setting, results measurement, team growth, and talent deployment.
• Ensure a seamless transition of sales teams to Client Engagement.
• Assist Client Engagement in securing key account and product renewals.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, Marketing, Business, or a related discipline is required.
• 7–10 years of experience in prospecting new business accounts and selling software products in a hunter sales capacity.
• A minimum of 5+ years’ experience selling into Health Plans; 7+ years is preferred.
• At least 3+ years of experience leading field sales teams consisting of 5 to 7 representatives is desired.
• Extensive experience engaging with and selling to Health Plan “C” level executives, SVP Business Owners, procurement, VPs, and directors.
• Proven history of guiding a sales team to meet a team quota of tens of millions of dollars by closing sales of Health Plan software systems and services, with contract values ranging from hundreds of thousands to multi-millions.
• Experience working with a leading Health Plan software and service vendor selling Payment Accuracy solutions, which include claim editing, data mining, coordination of benefits, clinical chart validation, and/or fraud, waste, and abuse detection.
• A network of Health Plan account contacts at the Executive level is essential.
• Experience selling Payment Accuracy solutions to Third Party Administrators is highly desirable.
• Excellent understanding of market penetration strategies, market development techniques, and market segmentation approaches.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to research prospective clients and plan sales prospecting activities.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to perform daily functions with minimal or no direct supervision.
• Must provide a dedicated, secure workspace.
• Must ensure high-speed internet access/connectivity and maintain an office setup.
