This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Create and uphold comprehensive project timelines for designated capital projects utilizing Primavera P6 or equivalent software.

• Develop work breakdown structures, activity coding systems, durations, logic relationships, constraints, and dependencies.

• Integrate procurement milestones, long-lead equipment deliveries, approvals, and inputs from contractors/design teams.

• Establish baseline schedules, maintain version control, and revise schedules based on actual progress and modifications.

• Generate look-ahead schedules covering 2-week, 4-week, and 3-month intervals.

• Perform critical path, total float, schedule performance, SPI, and schedule variance analyses.

• Recognize trends, delays, schedule risks, constraints, and effects of scope or design modifications.

• Assess what-if scenarios, recovery solutions, mitigation strategies, and contingency plans.

• Monitor milestones and predict completion timelines.

• Compile schedule status reports, Gantt charts, milestone charts, summary schedules, narratives, and client updates.

• Relay schedule status and risks to project managers and stakeholders; provide updates during project meetings.

• Collaborate with cost managers on integrated cost and schedule reporting and earned value management.

• Synchronize schedules across project managers, design teams, contractors, commissioning agents, consultants, and trade contractors.

• Ensure proper sequencing and logical connections across design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning phases.

• Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts while aligning milestones with funding, approvals, and occupancy necessities.

• Confirm schedule quality, contractual adherence, logical relationships, activity durations, assumptions, calendars, and constraints.

• Assist in schedule audits, change order assessments, claims documentation, dispute resolution, execution plans, and schedule management strategies.

• Collaborate on commissioning and startup schedules.

• May mentor junior scheduling personnel or interns.

• Engage in training, process enhancement, implementation of scheduling technology, and capturing lessons learned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• 5-8 years of relevant experience in construction scheduling or project controls roles.

• Strong command of scheduling software, notably Primavera P6 (P6 EPPM or P6 Professional).

• Thorough understanding of critical path method (CPM) scheduling principles and techniques.

• Experience in developing and maintaining schedules for capital construction projects valued between $500M and $5B.

• Familiarity with construction methods, sequencing, and project delivery processes.

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify schedule trends, risks, and performance challenges.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities for report preparation and presentations to project teams.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Capability to work independently under general supervision while managing several project assignments.

• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy.

• A collaborative team player with the capacity to coordinate with diverse project stakeholders.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• Preferred: Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) certification, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, experience in mission-critical/data center/healthcare/laboratory projects, familiarity with additional scheduling tools, earned value management, design-build/CM-at-risk/integrated project delivery, commissioning and startup schedules, LEED projects, BIM 4D scheduling, and professional membership.
