This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.
• Develop the framework and operational cadence required to advance intricate enterprise initiatives.
• Oversee multiple interconnected projects and workstreams to guarantee collective achievement of program goals.
• Maintain concentration on desired business results and adapt priorities and strategies as program requirements change.
• Foster disciplined execution and accountability among program participants.
• Coordinate dependencies across various business units, functions, IT teams, vendors, and enterprise stakeholders.
• Identify ownership gaps and facilitate resolutions prior to their impact on program outcomes.
• Assemble stakeholders to address issues, make decisions, and progress initiatives.
• Ensure that individual projects and workstreams stay in alignment with overall program objectives.
• Guide staff in meeting project goals, timelines, and budgetary targets.
• Determine necessary resources and investigate project data, procedures, and historical context.
• Create strategic project plans with defined goals, objectives, and budgets.
• Prepare executive-level briefings that highlight outcomes, decisions, risks, and necessary actions.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive view of program health, dependencies, risks, and critical decisions.
• Identify emerging risks and challenges and implement mitigation strategies.
• Escalate issues that necessitate executive intervention with clear options, implications, and recommendations.
• Ensure that decisions result in accountable actions.
• Share best practices within the Program Management team and assist in the development of Project Managers and transformation resources.
• Present to senior leadership and executives to secure commitment and support for the forward strategy.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Travel as necessary.
• Provide support, guidance, leadership, and motivation to enhance overall performance.
• Implement company personnel policies and adhere to staffing standards and training recommendations.
• Conduct interviews, hire candidates, establish performance development plans, and lead performance discussions.
• Bachelor’s degree in insurance, finance, or project management from an accredited institution is required.
• PMP, PgMP, MSP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar certifications are beneficial but not mandatory.
• MBA is preferred.
• 12+ years of progressively responsible experience in program management, transformation, strategy execution, operations, consulting, or related enterprise leadership roles.
• Proven experience leading complex initiatives that involve multiple functions and interconnected workstreams.
• Experience collaborating directly with senior executives and functional leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes without direct authority.
• Strong strategic thinking paired with disciplined execution and a results-oriented approach.
• Capable of functioning effectively in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments.
• Proven experience in establishing governance and execution frameworks.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and executive-level communication skills.
• Ability to distill complex information into clear recommendations and actions.
• Experience in collaborating across business and technology organizations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation capabilities.
• Proficient in PC applications, including Microsoft Office products.
