Senior Program Analyst, Informatics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Strategize, assess, and evaluate the efficiency of OCI interoperability programs and their operations.

• Provide support for Veterans Health Information Exchange operations, manage exchange partners, and oversee terminology services.

• Utilize source data along with qualitative and quantitative methods to evaluate program performance.

• Consolidate data into program status updates, performance metrics, trends, and recurring health data exchange reports.

• Assist with the evaluation of VHIE and outcome-focused measures, including progress reporting for the Elizabeth Dole Act and the Veteran Interoperability Pledge.

• Spot opportunities for business-process enhancements and suggest necessary changes.

• Identify, document, and monitor program risks and issues; develop and improve mitigation strategies; maintain risk registers.

• Aid in the updates of the three-PI roadmap and document the level of effort and labor categories for features selected during PI Planning.

• Help establish business value metrics in Epic hypothesis statements and feature acceptance criteria; monitor baselines and outcomes throughout Planning Intervals.

• Engage in SAFe Agile Release Trains, PI Planning, backlog refinement, iteration ceremonies, and system demonstrations.

• Contribute to the governance charter, align SAFe plans, and maintain compliance documentation.

• Prepare briefings, decision papers, and reports for stakeholders across all levels.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.

• At least 10 years of professional experience in program analysis, data analysis, or informatics are required.

• Relevant clinical informatics experience in a VA health care environment is essential.

• Proven ability to plan, analyze, and evaluate operational programs using source data and qualitative and quantitative methods.

• Experience in identifying and mitigating program risks is necessary.

• Familiarity with, and a thorough understanding of, SAFe Lean-Agile principles and practices is preferred.

• Experience in presenting status updates, recommendations, and risks to stakeholders at various levels.

• Ability to secure and maintain a VA background investigation at the level assigned to the position is required.

• Must be a resident and work in the United States with valid U.S. work authorization.

• Desired qualifications include a degree in informatics, health care administration, public health, or a similar field.

• A master’s degree is preferred.

• Current SAFe certification, such as SAFe Agilist, is desired.

• Experience with health information exchange or interoperability programs is beneficial.

• Experience with VHIE, JLV, or Federal EHR (Oracle Health) programs is desirable.

• Experience in building performance dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel is preferred.

• Familiarity with Jira or Jira Align reporting is advantageous.
