This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the general manager for Kapitus’ primary lending products, such as term loans and lines of credit.

• Oversee and manage product profitability, revenue and cost elements, product strategy, go-to-market initiatives, and overall outcomes.

• Monitor performance metrics, enhance unit economics, and report monthly business performance to executive leadership.

• Identify performance discrepancies against competitive benchmarks and develop investment cases.

• Collaborate with Finance on product-level profit and loss models.

• Establish go-to-market strategies, positioning, pricing, channel strategies, and promotional offers.

• Lead the launches of product features, enhancements to underwriting, and market expansions.

• Conduct quarterly competitive intelligence analyses and convert findings into actionable product recommendations.

• Define and present a rolling 12–18 month product vision for the Line of Credit and Term Loan offerings.

• Convert product vision into a prioritized roadmap in coordination with Product Delivery.

• Identify opportunities for AI and machine learning to enhance decision-making, underwriting, offers, and borrower communications.

• Ensure that the roadmap aligns with regulatory and compliance standards.

• Directly lead, recruit, develop, mentor, and evaluate a team of Product Managers.

• Oversee team performance, compensation, career development, and succession planning.

• Collaborate with Product Delivery, Risk, Finance, Sales, Operations, Compliance, Legal, HR, and executive leadership.


⛳️ Requirements

• 8–12+ years of experience in Product Management with a proven track record of full product P&L ownership in a fintech, banking, or lending context.

• Experience leading multi-product portfolios at the Director or VP level is essential.

• Demonstrated success in owning and enhancing approval rates, conversion rates, renewal rates, LTV, cost per acquisition, and financial business cases.

• In-depth understanding of small business or consumer lending economics.

• Experience managing go-to-market strategies for financial products, including pricing, channel strategies, launch planning, and competitive positioning.

• Background in a regulated financial services environment.

• Familiarity with UDAAP, fair lending regulations, adverse action notifications, and CFPB guidelines as they pertain to small business lending.

• Experience working within or alongside an Agile Product Delivery framework.

• Understanding of the distinction between Product Owner and Product Manager roles.

• Capability to present product strategies, competitive analyses, and business cases to executive leadership.

• Ability to lead and develop Product Management teams and influence cross-functional partners without direct authority.
