Senior Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the strategy, roadmap, and implementation for a significant product area.

• Identify customer challenges through interviews, workflow assessments, product analytics, and market research.

• Convert customer requirements into product strategies and prioritized roadmaps.

• Establish product success metrics and utilize data to enhance customer outcomes continuously.

• Balance customer value, technical intricacy, and business priorities effectively.

• Create intelligent product experiences utilizing structured data, large language models, retrieval systems, and automation.

• Collaborate with Data Science and Engineering to define AI capabilities, including LLMs, RAG, AI agents, workflow automation, prompt orchestration, and structured content creation.

• Specify product requirements for AI capabilities, encompassing evaluation criteria, quality metrics, confidence thresholds, and customer feedback mechanisms.

• Ensure AI-generated outputs are transparent, explainable, and meet customer expectations as well as regulatory standards.

• Develop an understanding of clinical development workflows and customer challenges.

• Map customer journeys and pinpoint opportunities to streamline complex workflows.

• Validate concepts through customer interviews, usability testing, and prototype assessments.

• Collaborate with customers throughout the product development process.

• Work closely with Engineering, Design, and Data Science throughout the product lifecycle.

• Lead product planning, backlog prioritization, release planning, and customer adoption initiatives.

• Communicate priorities, trade-offs, and progress to executives and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Ensure product releases provide measurable value to customers and the business.

• Define and track KPIs including adoption, engagement, customer satisfaction, workflow efficiency, and AI quality.

• Utilize experimentation and product analytics to enhance product performance.

• Create evaluation frameworks to measure product quality and customer impact.

• Mentor Associate Product Managers and contribute to best practices in product management.

• Promote collaboration across Engineering, Design, Clinical SMEs, Commercial, and Customer Success.

• Advocate for customer focus, experimentation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience in product management within enterprise software or SaaS products.

• Proven track record of successfully leading products from discovery to commercial launch.

• Strong experience in customer discovery and product strategy development.

• Experience in defining product roadmaps and prioritizing tasks across multiple initiatives.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

• Preferred: Experience in developing products that integrate artificial intelligence or machine learning.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Large Language Models, Claude, ChatGPT, Retrieval Augmented Generation, AI agents, semantic search, vector databases, and prompt engineering.

• Preferred: Experience in partnering with Data Science teams to bring AI capabilities into production.

• Preferred: Experience in defining AI quality metrics and evaluation frameworks.

• Preferred: Background in life sciences, healthcare, or other regulated industries.

• Preferred: Familiarity with cloud platforms, APIs, and modern data architectures.
