VP, Product Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the main representative for stakeholders, sponsors, and prospective users within the organization.

• Ensure that solution decisions are consistent with the overall strategy.

• Guarantee that Features and User Stories are appropriately vetted, prepared, executed, and delivered to clients.

• Collaborate to confirm that proposed solutions address demonstrated customer needs, are feasible to implement, and can be delivered profitably.

• Maintain a well-prepared backlog and work with leadership to define the solution vision and roadmap.

• Communicate the strategic vision and outcomes to Delivery Teams while representing the customer’s voice.

• Establish success criteria and desired outcomes for Epics.

• Assess, prepare, execute, and deliver Epics, Features, and User Stories.

• Provide solution options that balance capacity and demand.

• Contribute to a well-maintained backlog of actionable tasks for cross-functional Delivery Teams, including aligned Acceptance Criteria.

• Champion customer needs and interests.

• Conduct user interviews to gain insights into customer challenges.

• Validate prioritization in line with strategic direction.

• Ensure that release work aligns with the strategic vision.

• Identify and manage risks and obstacles related to backlog items.

• Coordinate and engage in product releases and change management initiatives.

• Prepare, organize, and communicate release notes to clients or internal users.

• Create and monitor metrics to enhance processes and track progress.

• Mentor, coach, and provide training to team members as required.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as Business, Computer Science, or Engineering) or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• At least 8+ years of industry-related experience, usually with a minimum of 2+ years in an AVP level role or equivalent external position.

• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in product or service development, including the capacity to assess the value of solutions provided to customers.

• A minimum of 7 years of experience related to solution design and engagement with full stack development techniques, emphasizing End User usability and UX designs.

• Strong analytical skills to identify and propose persona/outcome combinations for business impact.

• Experienced in data engineering with connections to the development and management of logical data models, particularly in big data contexts.

• Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CD/CI) pipelines.

• Solid understanding of application infrastructure, system architecture, and operating systems.

• Proven track record in stakeholder management, representing interests, and promoting collaboration.

• Strategic mindset with the ability to align product decisions with organizational strategy.

• Proficiency in vetting, preparing, executing, and delivering Features and User Stories.

• Outstanding communication and presentation skills to effectively convey the strategic vision and outcomes to various teams.

• Experience in conducting user interviews and generative or evaluative research to support decision-making.

• Familiarity with backlog management, prioritization techniques, and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and their application in product or service development.

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining backlogs and managing dependencies.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Real estate experience is preferred but not mandatory.
