This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and implement a long-term People strategy that aligns with the company's objectives, growth initiatives, and business priorities.
• Act as the executive leader for the People function, advocating for the People strategy at both executive leadership and Board levels.
• Spearhead organizational design and workforce planning in collaboration with Finance and business leaders.
• Proactively identify and mitigate organizational and workforce risks.
• Lead and nurture the People leadership team across HR, Talent Acquisition, and People Operations.
• Define clear expectations, ownership, decision-making pathways, roadmaps, and priorities.
• Enhance leadership capabilities, succession planning, and overall bench strength.
• Collaborate with executives on performance management, organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and retention strategies.
• Oversee programs, practices, and culture that foster a high-performing organization.
• Ensure a uniform employee experience for corporate, technical, clinical, and contractor staff.
• Manage the compensation philosophy and strategy.
• Build scalable People infrastructure, policies, systems, and processes.
• Supervise benefits, payroll, compliance, employee relations, onboarding/offboarding, and multi-state employment obligations.
• Provide guidance on sensitive employee issues, policy exceptions, restructuring, layoffs, and separations.
• Ensure that People technology and operational models can evolve alongside the company.
• Report directly to the COO and oversee the People team managing a diverse workforce of over 250 employees and contractors.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive People/HR leadership experience.
• At least 5 years of experience leading People functions in a Director, VP, or comparable executive role.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Proven track record in building and scaling People functions within high-growth startup environments.
• Experience navigating significant organizational change and expansion.
• Familiarity with scaling a clinical workforce in healthtech, telehealth, or other regulated settings is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to function as a strategic business partner to founders, executives, and Boards.
• Extensive experience in organizational design, workforce planning, compensation, talent strategy, and people operations.
• Experience in leading and developing teams in HR, Talent Acquisition, and/or People Operations.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Exceptional judgment and discretion when dealing with complex employee relations, organizational changes, and sensitive issues.
• A hands-on builder mentality with the ability to set strategy and execute operationally.
• Excellent proactive communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Experience managing a distributed and/or blended workforce across various states.
• Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
