This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.
• Provide guidance to People Leaders and employees on local HR matters within Corporate Finance, Digital Technology, and Business Development.
• Coach and assist People Leaders in navigating complex issues.
• Foster a culture that prioritizes inclusivity and safety.
• Act as the HR representative on local leadership teams, advising on HR-related topics.
• Promote a positive workplace culture by integrating GEV values into local HR initiatives.
• Improve employee engagement and enhance the overall employee experience.
• Share insights and people data with HRBPs and People Leaders.
• Guide requests through the appropriate self-service channels and inform employees about new working methods.
• Collaborate with onsite/in-country People Operations to address complex Tier 1 queries.
• Serve as the local HR expert for People Leaders, HRBPs, and Centers of Excellence.
• Manage employee relations matters and everyday grievances.
• Work with Centers of Excellence on sensitive issues and necessary corrective actions.
• Provide counsel and support for labor relations, unions, and works council activities where applicable.
• Ensure adherence to local regulations, laws, and policies.
• Implement the workforce and talent strategy set forth by HRBPs.
• Assist with local HR projects and initiatives related to change.
• Support People Leaders and employees throughout the HR initiatives across the talent lifecycle.
• Contribute insights to HR decisions based on local expertise and knowledge.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• At least 3 years of experience in a Human Resources role.
• Experience handling responsibilities such as recruiting, training, compensation, benefits, employee development, or performance management.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to make independent decisions.
• Capability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• In-depth understanding of local labor laws and government regulations.
• Proven experience in applying HR policies effectively.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and documentation skills.
• Exercise sound judgment to ensure integrity, compliance, and confidentiality.
• Keen interest in innovative HR solutions and process enhancements.
• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of a drug screening, if applicable.
