VP, Patient Access Strategy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Lead the development of strategies for new business development opportunities and enhance Valeris’ enterprise strategy related to its Patient Access portfolio.

• Create content for access services opportunities, which includes RFP responses, executive summaries, bid defense presentations, and technology strategy.

• Attend in-person presentations or engage via conference call when travel is not feasible.

• Act as the primary resource for intricate inquiries, strategies, and issues concerning Patient Services Programs and the Innovation & Product Development Roadmap.

• Represent Valeris’ Patient Access solutions and enterprise strategy through white papers, podium discussions, and promotional marketing initiatives.

• Assist the client services team with complex program operational challenges and preview strategic solutions for key clients during QBRs and strategic meetings.

• Collaborate with Commercial Learning & Development to ensure the team comprehends the commercial strategy.

• Work alongside client brand strategy owners on tactical planning for Patient Access Services.

• Ethically expand Valeris’ business and leverage industry connections to discover new opportunities.

• Enhance employee product knowledge, market awareness, and understanding of Patient Services across manufacturers, patients, payers, providers, and pharmacies.

• Uphold confidentiality and adhere to Valeris standards, SOPs, policies, procedures, and training requirements.

• Communicate and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Execute additional tasks and projects as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in the pharmaceutical services industry, particularly in patient access and affordability services.

• Skilled in defining and designing use cases and requirements for patient access program transactions and processes.

• Experienced in establishing strategic opportunities, operational standards, policies, and procedures for HUB, DTP, Pharmacy, Field Reimbursement, Nursing, and Affordability services operations.

• Knowledgeable about PSP programs and capable of utilizing available data to assess and support patient needs.

• Comprehensive understanding of PSP operations and the construction of HUB and Affordability Services programs within pharmaceutical organizations.

• Thorough knowledge of the technologies that enable PSP functions and how these technologies integrate.

• Ability to craft written proposals and presentations, validate data, document business and conversion processes, and manage critical projects.

• Familiarity with industry best practices and the capacity to communicate insights effectively.

• Established industry network and contacts to pinpoint new business prospects.

• Advanced degree (MBA, MPH, etc.) is preferred.

• Experience in Market Access within pharmaceuticals, biotech, or related fields is preferred.

• Previous experience in community and/or hospital settings selling and/or supporting specialty, value-oriented, non-commodity products is preferred.

• Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy is preferred.

• Willingness to travel as necessary is preferred.

• Successful completion of a background check and, depending on the position, a drug screening.
