This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Drive operational excellence throughout Burq's delivery network, from pickup to drop-off.
β’ Establish Burq's supply strategy and long-term vision for the network, focusing on expansion, provider prioritization, reliability, and cost efficiency.
β’ Build, lead, and nurture a high-performing supply team.
β’ Manage key relationships and commercial agreements with delivery service providers.
β’ Ensure providers are accountable for on-time performance, coverage, and quality; oversee reviews and escalations.
β’ Identify gaps in geographic coverage, capacity, and capability within the supply chain and lead initiatives to address these issues.
β’ Present supply strategy and performance metrics to executive leadership.
β’ Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, Product, Engineering, and Support teams to align supply efforts with customer requirements and the product roadmap.
β’ Manage the supply budget and prioritize initiatives across providers and markets.
β’ Own and report on critical supply metrics, including cost per delivery, on-time performance, coverage, and provider composition.
β’ Utilize AI tools on a daily basis to assess provider performance data, monitor supply health, and automate reporting processes.
β’ In-depth understanding of the complete delivery lifecycle, from pickup to drop-off, with the ability to pinpoint and remedy friction through operational, process, or technical enhancements at the provider level.
β’ 8β12+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics operations, or partner/vendor management, preferably including direct management of delivery provider or carrier relationships.
β’ Proven experience in building, leading, and developing teams, with a successful track record of scaling functions as the business expands.
β’ Experience collaborating with and presenting to executive leadership, managing a budget, and making strategic tradeoff decisions.
β’ Demonstrated ability to negotiate commercial terms and oversee performance with external partners or vendors.
β’ Capability to formulate and communicate a long-term vision for a supply network.
β’ Aptitude for holding partners accountable and driving resolution of performance gaps.
β’ Ability to unify Customer Success, Sales, Product, Engineering, and Support teams around a cohesive supply strategy.
β’ Proficient in analyzing provider and network performance data.
β’ Comfortable working with APIs and technical integrations, with the ability to engage credibly with technical stakeholders.
β’ Possess a growth mindset, capable of independently addressing ambiguity and problems.
β’ Active and proficient daily usage of AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT.
β’ Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
β’ Comfort with ambiguity, adaptability to change, and experience in establishing processes from the ground up in a startup environment.
β’ Preferred: experience in last-mile delivery, courier services, gig-economy operations, freight, dispatch, routing, supply chain software platforms, early-stage supply/provider network scaling, or leadership within a high-growth startup.
