VP of Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Lead the engineering team at Kiss My Apps: Mobile (iOS/Android), QA, and Backend/Platform.

• Maintain speed and quality of delivery, making it predictable and measurable through DORA metrics.

• Design the organizational structure, recruit, and develop engineering managers.

• Scale the implementation of AI in development as a standard process with measurable impacts on velocity and stability.

• Deliver internal technical solutions, AI products, and automation to accelerate non-technical teams.

• Establish engineering culture and standards: code reviews, release processes, quality gates, product reliability, and tech debt management.

• Collaborate with C-level executives and department heads to translate business objectives into engineering execution.

• Report directly to the CTO.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–12+ years of engineering experience, including 4–6+ years in management, specifically managing managers.

• Experience scaling an engineering organization through several evolutionary processes and organizational structures.

• Strong technical background with the ability to make and challenge architectural decisions.

• Experience in mobile-first products: full cycle of iOS/Android development, release cycles, and subscriptions (StoreKit / Google Play Billing).

• Experience managing backend/platform teams: distributed systems, reliability, and API design.

• Experience in building and scaling QA: test automation, quality gates, and release governance.

• Familiarity with delivery metrics (DORA or similar).

• Experience implementing AI tools in development.

• Experience in subscription/consumer app business, paywalls, A/B testing, LTV, and mobile attribution is a plus.

• Experience with AI development infrastructure: Claude Code, MCP servers, n8n, agent workflows is a plus.

• Experience in app holding, product studio, or venture builder is a plus.
