Senior Manager, Software Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide both technical and managerial guidance to the software development team.

• Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary resources, tools, and support.

• Conduct one-on-one meetings focused on professional development and career advancement.

• Facilitate regular team meetings to discuss project progress, company updates, and analytics.

• Perform annual performance evaluations and collaborate with leadership on career development plans.

• Work in partnership with product and project managers to outline requirements, risks, and priorities.

• Address project-related concerns and serve as an escalation point for blockers.

• Allocate and assign resources effectively for project execution.

• Monitor development initiatives, including capital project work.

• Align technical requirements with the goals of senior leadership.

• Oversee the implementation of Terraform for Azure provisioning.

• Create outcome-driven metrics, focusing on effective AI utilization.

• Review Azure dashboards, telemetry reports, and uptime metrics.

• Conduct monthly reviews of the security dashboard.

• Manage GitHub configurations and repository security settings.

• Monitor and resolve security-related issues in Jira.

• Streamline support workflows and ticket triage in collaboration with the Help Desk Manager.

• Ensure that service level agreements (SLAs) are met and that support resolutions are timely.

• Lead change management, approval processes, and internal communications.

• Communicate updates on technical matters, project milestones, and changes across the company.

• Act as a liaison among engineering, product, support, and leadership teams.

• Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and technical alignment.

• Manage licenses and budgets to enhance operational efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• More than 8 years of relevant technical experience, including full stack software development, database development, cloud technologies, enterprise architecture best practices, and governance.

• Over 5 years of experience leading a development team comprised of at least 5 developers across various disciplines.

• Exceptional organizational, prioritization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong skills in vendor management and partner relations.

• Ability to make timely decisions in situations where solutions are not clear and information is ambiguous.

• Initiative, sound judgment, and capability to work independently under pressure in a dynamic environment.

• Enterprise architecture certification is preferred.
