Senior Manager, Software Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide both technical and managerial guidance to the software development team.

• Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary resources, tools, and support.

• Conduct one-on-one meetings focusing on individual development and career advancement.

• Organize regular team meetings to discuss project updates, company news, and analytics.

• Perform annual performance evaluations and collaborate with leadership to create career development plans.

• Work in partnership with product and project managers to establish requirements, identify risks, and set development priorities.

• Serve as an escalation point for addressing project concerns and blockers.

• Allocate resources effectively for project execution.

• Track development initiatives, including capital project work.

• Ensure technical requirements are in alignment with senior leadership's expectations.

• Oversee the implementation of Terraform for Azure provisioning.

• Develop metrics that promote desired outcomes, including efficient use of AI.

• Review Azure application dashboards, telemetry reports, and uptime metrics.

• Conduct monthly reviews of security dashboards.

• Manage GitHub configuration and repository security settings.

• Monitor and address security-related issues in Jira.

• Optimize support workflows and ticket triage in collaboration with the Help Desk Manager.

• Ensure that service level agreements (SLAs) are met and that support resolutions are provided in a timely manner.

• Lead change management efforts, approval processes, and internal communications.

• Relay technical updates, project milestones, and company-wide changes.

• Serve as a liaison between engineering, product, support, and leadership teams.

• Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and technical alignment.

• Manage licenses and budgets to ensure efficient resource allocation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 8 years of relevant technical experience, encompassing full stack software development, database development, cloud technologies, enterprise architecture best practices, and governance.

• At least 5 years of experience leading a development team comprising a minimum of 5 developers from various disciplines.

• Strong skills in organization, prioritization, analysis, and problem-solving.

• Proficient in vendor management and partner relations.

• Capability to make prompt decisions when solutions are not clear and information is ambiguous.

• Demonstrates initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently under pressure in a dynamic environment.

• Enterprise architecture certification is preferred.
