VP – Head of Liquidity & Exchange Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Design and execute strategies aimed at attracting and maintaining substantial global liquidity across CLOB and RFQ systems.

• Identify significant trading pairs, create incentive frameworks, and expand liquidity services on a global scale.

• Establish and nurture relationships with high-volume liquidity partners and market makers.

• Negotiate partner agreements and ensure active liquidity contributions across various trading pairs, venues, and jurisdictions.

• Oversee the operational setup and enhancements of the global liquidity strategy.

• Optimize settlement processes across different venues and jurisdictions.

• Manage the complete operations and execution of OTC trading where applicable.

• Foster and maintain relationships with prominent stablecoin issuers.

• Aid in the development of deep markets for zerohash-issued stablecoins and tokenized assets.

• Oversee comprehensive relationships with distribution partners.

• Manage the inventory of assets listed for liquidity within zerohash liquidity systems.

• Supervise asset listing procedures and coordinate efforts with Legal, Compliance, Operations, Product, and Finance teams.

• Monitor market depth, order book quality, LP uptime, asset support, and trading volume.

• Develop regular internal and external reports for executive management and platform partners.

• Identify and mitigate liquidity risks associated with market volatility, large order executions, and LP system outages.

• Analyze market data to uncover trends and opportunities.

• Generate liquidity metrics reports and present insights to senior management.

• Ensure liquidity activities adhere to relevant regulations and AML requirements.

• Collaborate with Settlement & Trading Operations, Finance, Compliance, Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams.

• Report to executive leadership and routinely present findings and recommendations to the executive team.

⛳️ Requirements

• 12–15+ years of progressive experience in leading exchange/liquidity services, strategy, liquidity operations, or a similar leadership position.

• 5–8+ years of experience in FinTech.

• Direct experience in crypto/digital assets is essential, preferably at a major crypto exchange.

• Experience in banking/brokerage infrastructure is a significant advantage.

• Proven success in trading, market making, or liquidity management within both traditional financial markets and cryptocurrencies/stablecoins.

• Demonstrated ability to build and scale functions from the ground up, including teams and processes.

• Strong analytical skills and comfort with uncertainty.

• Experience presenting to a board and proficiency in working with spreadsheets.

• Experience driving AI or significant technology adoption within an operational business, ideally at scale.

• Strong track record in managing market maker/LP relationships.

• Excellent executive communication skills, with experience addressing C-suite and board-level audiences.

• Must be based in the United States.

• Willingness to travel to team hubs.
