📋 Description

• Act as the subject matter expert on AI within the portfolio, assessing new technologies, models, frameworks, and market trends.

• Collaborate with the Portfolio Leader to define and implement a comprehensive AI strategy across the portfolio.

• Transform engineering teams into AI-centric units through redesigning organizational structures, workflows, and delivery models.

• Develop an AI-first Software Development Lifecycle that encompasses planning, development, testing, documentation, deployment, and support.

• Assess and integrate AI tools to enhance engineering productivity, software quality, customer experience, and operational efficiency.

• Promote AI adoption throughout engineering, product development, customer support, sales, and internal operations.

• Set portfolio-wide standards for architecture, security, infrastructure, engineering quality, and technology governance.

• Provide guidance on technical roadmaps for companies within the portfolio.

• Work with executive leadership to prioritize technology investments.

• Standardize engineering metrics, tools, and best practices while maintaining business flexibility.

• Lead the engineering organizational strategy across the portfolio.

• Recruit, nurture, coach, and retain technical talent and leaders.

• Make decisions regarding organizational design, hiring, succession planning, and performance management.

• Encourage innovation, accountability, speed, and continuous improvement.

• Identify and develop standalone AI-native products and companies.

• Analyze market opportunities, product strategies, commercialization plans, and investment priorities.

• Oversee technical execution for new AI initiatives from concept to launch.

• Create reusable AI capabilities for both portfolio companies and external markets.

• Lead technical due diligence for potential acquisitions.

• Evaluate engineering organizations, architecture, security, technical debt, scalability, and readiness for AI implementation.

• Formulate integration strategies for acquired businesses.

• Expedite post-acquisition modernization and alignment with portfolio technology standards.

• Proven technology leadership experience across various software businesses and portfolio companies.

• Background in driving AI transformation and implementing AI-first development practices.

• Experience in modernizing engineering teams, structures, roles, workflows, and delivery models.

• Proficient in evaluating emerging AI technologies, models, frameworks, and market trends.

• Demonstrated experience in establishing AI-first software development lifecycles.

• Skilled in assessing and implementing AI tools.

• Experience in setting standards for architecture, security, infrastructure, engineering quality, and technology governance.

• Background in guiding technical roadmaps focused on scalability, modernization, and maintainability.

• Proven track record in recruiting, developing, coaching, and retaining technical talent and leaders.

• Experience with organizational design, hiring, succession planning, and performance management within engineering organizations.

• Expertise in identifying and launching standalone AI-native products and companies.

• Familiarity with product strategy, commercialization plans, and investment priorities.

• Experience in leading technical execution from concept to launch.

• Background in conducting technical due diligence for potential acquisitions.

• Experience in assessing engineering organizations, architecture, security posture, technical debt, scalability, and AI readiness.

• Proficient in developing technology integration strategies and executing post-acquisition modernization.

• Willingness and capability to operate as a strategic, hands-on leader in technology, product, operations, and venture creation.
