This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with the COO, segment Presidents, and senior leadership to establish and promote operational priorities across the I&M and E&C segments
• Oversee the enterprise operating rhythm, which includes business reviews, KPI dashboards, and accountability systems
• Identify and foster cross-segment synergies between Installation & Maintenance and Engineering & Consulting
• Lead initiatives to address complex, cross-functional operational challenges
• Evaluate workflows, pinpoint inefficiencies, and execute process enhancements
• Facilitate the operational integration of newly acquired businesses
• Provide support to leaders and teams in both union and non-union environments
• Analyze business performance, detect trends, and propose solutions to enhance service, productivity, margin, and execution
• Offer insights on operational resourcing, tooling, and capital investment priorities
• Manage enterprise-level visibility regarding safety performance and promote consistent safety standards
• Collaborate with finance, HR, and corporate functions on operational decisions and reporting needs
• Sponsor and advocate for change management while ensuring the adoption of new processes, tools, and expectations
• A Bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA is strongly preferred
• Over 15 years of progressive people management experience, including overseeing other operating leaders/managers
• More than 10 years of experience in consulting, management, or senior operational leadership roles
• Proven track record of owning P&L or operating performance across various business units, locations, or entities in a complex, decentralized setting
• Ideally, experience managing revenue in the hundreds of millions of dollars
• A strong history of resolving operational challenges and enhancing business performance on a large scale
• Ability to function effectively in both union and non-union settings
• Excellent communication, analytical, and cross-functional leadership capabilities
• Experience presenting to executive leadership and/or a board of directors
• Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders, including C-suite executives
• Military/Trade leadership experience is an advantage
• Background in installation, maintenance, field operations, engineering, or similar service-oriented environments
• Experience in integrating acquired businesses or steering organizational growth and transformation
• Strong executive presence and the ability to operate independently in a remote, enterprise-wide environment
• Willingness to travel 40–50%
• Eligible for an annual incentive target of approximately 25% of base salary, based on company and individual performance
• Eligible for participation in Legence's applicable long-term incentive/equity program, subject to plan terms
