This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead, mentor, and enhance the capabilities of a team focused on institutional consultant sales, bank channel sales, and platform development.
• Establish the integrated channel strategy, set priorities, define accountability, and uphold execution standards.
• Create and implement a unified U.S. distribution strategy targeting institutional consultants, banks, and investment platforms.
• Develop business management practices that encompass market segmentation, account prioritization, pipeline governance, metrics, resource allocation, and performance evaluations.
• Cultivate and sustain senior-level relationships with consultant firms, banks, due diligence teams, home offices, platform gatekeepers, and other key decision-makers.
• Direct engagement strategies for priority relationships, ensuring coordinated coverage, account plans, messaging, and follow-up actions.
• Convert insights from clients, consultants, and platforms into actionable recommendations for investment strategy, products, vehicles, pricing, marketing, sales enablement, and service delivery.
• Collaborate with U.S. distribution teams and investment professionals to align channel strategies and transform ratings, approvals, and placements into sales opportunities.
• Represent the firm at senior-level client meetings, due diligence reviews, industry conferences, and strategic negotiations.
• Promote teamwork, outstanding client service, prudent risk management, and compliance across the organization.
• Extensive understanding of institutional consultant, bank, and platform distribution models.
• Proven track record in leading seasoned sales and business development professionals.
• Documented success in transforming channel insights and senior relationships into ratings, approvals, placements, qualified pipelines, asset growth, revenue, and client retention.
• Outstanding written, verbal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Capability to lead through influence across investment, product, marketing, legal, compliance, operations, client service, and distribution teams.
• At least 15 years of relevant experience in investment management distribution.
• Significant experience in people management, leading senior sales, relationship management, or business development professionals across various channels or client segments.
• Proven success in setting strategies and achieving measurable outcomes in asset growth, revenue, ratings, approvals, placements, and client retention.
• Experience in influencing senior decision-makers and peers within a complex asset management organization.
• Established connections within institutional consulting firms, banks, research and due diligence organizations, and strategic investment platforms.
• Comprehensive investment knowledge across various asset classes, products, and vehicles.
• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• Series 24 certification is required or must be obtained within 120 days of the hire date.
• Strong intellectual curiosity and capacity.
