This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Direct the revenue strategy, metrics, transformation, and associated compliance processes.
• Establish the strategic direction for revenue recognition methodologies while ensuring adherence to ASC 606.
• Supervise the company’s revenue recognition, encompassing revenue and contract costs.
• Drive commercial finance and enhance profitability through financial insights, investment analysis, and business-case support.
• Collaborate with sales, revenue operations, Pricing & Packaging, and commercial leadership on deal structuring, discounting, margin analysis, and deal economics.
• Spearhead revenue transformation initiatives involving process, systems, and organizational redesign.
• Scale deal desk operations, revenue accounting, reporting, and analytics functions.
• Partner with executive leadership across Sales & Delivery and Enablement to propel strategy, decision-making, execution, and predictable financial outcomes.
• Lead strategic initiatives related to quoting, contracting, accounting, and business partnerships with the Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Customer Officer.
• Facilitate collaboration in strategic deal negotiations.
• Oversee deal desk operations, financial approvals, margin governance, customer expansion economics, and process efficiencies.
• Align pricing policies, product monetization strategies, and commercial frameworks with Pricing & Packaging.
• Transform product strategy, focusing on AI metrics, collaboration, potential risks, and operations.
• Collaborate with Services, Sales Operations, and Finance to ensure Statements of Work (SOWs) and change orders are aligned with profitability and collections.
• Manage Delivery and Enablement support services, including education services, time tracking, strategic initiatives, monthly accounting, and reconciliation.
• Partner with Customer Success on roadmaps, customer journey metrics, success metrics, and strategic campaigns.
• Oversee commission processes and commission-plan design and attainment alongside Revenue Operations and Sales teams.
• Own commercial finance reporting and KPIs, including discount rates, deal margins, and ACV/ARR economics, for executive and board presentations.
• Direct and collaborate with the sales organization to ensure effective controls and processes are established.
• Advise and guide senior leadership and the board.
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• A minimum of 10 years of finance leadership experience.
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership position focusing on revenue strategy, metrics, and transformation initiatives.
• In-depth knowledge of Software/SaaS revenue recognition regulations, primarily ASC 606 and/or IFRS 15.
• Required public accounting experience.
• CPA designation is mandatory.
• Experience in commercial finance or deal desk functions, including margin, discounting, and pricing analysis in collaboration with sales organizations.
• Proven success in partnering with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Revenue Operations, and Product leadership.
• Experience leading enterprise forecasting practices, including rolling forecast methodologies and scenario-based planning.
• Preferred experience with technology companies (On-Prem and/or SaaS).
• Experience with rapidly growing companies is preferred.
• Familiarity with sales organizations, including deal desk and business development strategies, is preferred.
• Ability to provide clear and consistent recommendations and/or instructions to team members.
