Senior Finance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Act as a strategic finance leader responsible for overseeing the financial performance of manufacturing operations.

• Supervise internal factory expenses, co-manufacturing activities, and transfer pricing.

• Convert operational performance into financial insights, analyses, and recommendations.

• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Planning, Procurement, and Brand Finance.

• Provide financial reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

• Assist in cost optimization initiatives and business goals.

• Promote financial discipline and enhance operational transparency.

• Influence strategies that enhance efficiency, profitability, and long-term growth.

• Direct monthly period-end close processes and management reporting for factory and co-manufacturing costs.

• Evaluate variances, risks, opportunities, and cost-of-production forecasts.

• Oversee annual budgets and dynamic COGS forecasts.

• Create SKU costings and profitability analyses for pricing, sourcing, and portfolio decisions.

• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of P&L financials.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to spearhead improvement projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.

• 7+ years of progressive finance experience is essential.

• Experience in a manufacturing or consumer packaged goods (CPG) environment is preferred.

• Background in P&L management and cost finance is necessary.

• Strong foundation in financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, variance analysis, and management reporting.

• Advanced skills in financial modeling and analysis are required.

• Proficiency in Excel, encompassing advanced functions, data analysis, and financial modeling.

• Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems is essential.

• Experience with large, complex datasets is necessary.

• Ability to create executive-level presentations and convey financial insights to senior leadership.

• Capability to influence stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Procurement.

• A process-oriented mindset focused on continuous improvement, financial controls, documentation, and operational excellence.

• Capacity to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are required.

• An MBA and/or CPA is preferred.
