VP – Enterprise Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the enterprise infrastructure executive for the Bank.

• Guide the architecture, engineering, implementation, operation, and lifecycle management of the enterprise infrastructure.

• Manage enterprise infrastructure operations, including production support, problem management, capacity planning, performance optimization, and service availability.

• Supervise help desk, service desk, desktop support, endpoint management, end-user technology, incident and request fulfillment, and user support operations.

• Direct infrastructure across data centers, servers, operating systems, compute, storage, virtualization, on-premises and cloud infrastructure, IaaS, DRaaS, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, endpoint infrastructure, and enterprise systems.

• Oversee the enterprise network and telecommunications infrastructure, which includes routers, switches, firewalls, SD-WAN, wireless networks, internet services, voice and data circuits, and telecommunications carriers.

• Spearhead technology modernization projects that involve infrastructure refreshes, cloud adoption, automation, virtualization, and platform standardization.

• Ensure security controls for the infrastructure are configured, hardened, patched, maintained, and compliant with policies and regulatory requirements.

• Coordinate vulnerability remediation efforts with Security, IT Operations, application owners, and business stakeholders.

• Manage identity services, SSO, MFA, authentication infrastructure, logical access controls, and privileged access management.

• Oversee monitoring, centralized logging, alerting, observability, and operational visibility platforms.

• Lead backup, business continuity, disaster recovery architecture, recovery exercises, infrastructure testing, and operational improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate with Information Security during cybersecurity incidents that require infrastructure expertise, restoration, or forensic support.

• Assist in internal audits, regulatory examinations, and third-party assessments by providing technical leadership, documentation, and evidence.

• Establish and enforce standards, procedures, documentation, and governance for infrastructure.

• Manage relationships with infrastructure vendors, carriers, cloud and hosting providers, managed service providers, contracts, SLAs, performance reporting, escalation, and service accountability.

• Partner with Risk, Compliance, Information Security, and business leadership to address and resolve findings.

• Offer executive-level technical guidance and functional leadership to project teams, vendors, and stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience providing leadership in enterprise infrastructure for mission-critical core banking platforms in a regulated financial institution.

• Extensive knowledge of enterprise infrastructure technologies, including cloud computing, virtualization, networking, storage, identity services, disaster recovery, automation, and enterprise systems.

• Demonstrated success in leading enterprise technology modernization initiatives, large-scale infrastructure transformations, and core banking platform conversions.

• Experience supporting regulatory examinations, technology audits, and remediation efforts in highly regulated settings.

• Strong understanding of OCC, FFIEC, GLBA, cybersecurity, and operational resilience requirements.

• Proven track record in developing strategic technology roadmaps while ensuring highly available, secure, and resilient production environments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• At least 15 years of progressive experience in enterprise technology, infrastructure engineering, or technology operations.

• Minimum of 7 years in enterprise-level technical, functional, or strategic leadership roles with increasing responsibilities.

• Experience leading technology organizations in a regulated financial institution, ideally in support of mission-critical banking systems.

• Proven ability to deliver large-scale technology initiatives, including platform implementations, system conversions, or significant infrastructure transformations.

• Familiarity with banking regulatory expectations, including OCC, FFIEC, GLBA, and operational resilience requirements.

• Capacity to build effective partnerships with executive leadership, business stakeholders, technology vendors, regulators, and auditors.

• Exceptional leadership, communication, strategic planning, and organizational skills.

• May require occasional on-site presence in data centers or secure facilities.

• Willingness to travel to client offices, prospects, branches, and industry events.
