This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Create and manage a long-term enterprise data and analytics strategy.
β’ Conduct current-state evaluations and outline target-state architecture across clinical, claims, and operational data sectors.
β’ Lead the rationalization and modernization of outdated data infrastructure.
β’ Supervise data ingestion, ETL/ELT pipelines, data lake and warehouse platforms, as well as Master Data Management.
β’ Implement data quality frameworks that encompass profiling, monitoring, and lineage tracking.
β’ Chair the enterprise Data Governance initiative, which includes policies, stewardship roles, and data cataloging.
β’ Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CUI, NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, and other relevant regulatory standards across data environments.
β’ Direct enterprise BI, self-service reporting, operational dashboards, and advanced analytical models.
β’ Collaborate with clinical, operations, and finance stakeholders to convert business inquiries into data products.
β’ Guide the AI/ML program by ensuring data readiness, data contracts, and governance frameworks facilitate responsible AI adoption.
β’ Lead, develop, and retain professionals in data engineering, analytics, and governance.
β’ Evaluate talent, create development plans, and address skill gaps through coaching and targeted recruiting.
β’ Define team structures, roles, and career advancement paths.
β’ Manage an annual budget ranging from $3M to $5M, including forecasting and variance reporting.
β’ Oversee relationships with vendors and partners for data platforms, analytics tools, and managed services.
β’ Construct and present investment business cases to the CIO and executive leadership.
β’ Perform additional responsibilities aligned with the intent of the role.
β’ Over 15 years of progressive experience in data, analytics, or data engineering.
β’ At least 5 years in a senior leadership position managing a data and analytics organization.
β’ Proven history of leading a data or analytics transformation, including evaluating low-maturity environments and executing modernization roadmaps.
β’ Extensive knowledge of the modern data stack, including Snowflake, Databricks, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, ETL/ELT tools, Tableau, Power BI, and Looker.
β’ Experience in establishing or leading enterprise data governance programs, including policies, data stewardship frameworks, and data quality operations.
β’ Strong financial management capabilities, including budget oversight, vendor negotiations, and investment prioritization.
β’ Outstanding executive communication skills.
β’ Experience managing large multifunctional teams of over 30 professionals through organizational transitions.
β’ Healthcare industry experience is highly preferred.
β’ Familiarity with HIPAA, HL7/FHIR, ICD coding, and claims data structures.
β’ Experience with federal data requirements is highly desirable, including knowledge of CUI handling in accordance with NIST SP 800-171 and/or CMMC compliance settings.
β’ A bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Science or Management Information Systems is required.
β’ Compliance with security responsibilities, controls, legal, regulatory, contractual, and internal policy requirements is expected.
