This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Direct the corporate and practice accounting organization, focusing on developing, mentoring, and managing accounting leaders and staff.
• Take ownership of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and consolidation processes.
• Ensure compliance of financial statements and accounting records with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
• Provide precise financial data to external tax preparers and advisors for tax returns and partner K-1s.
• Supervise healthcare practice accounting, encompassing patient service revenue, accounts receivable, reserves, cash-to-accrual adjustments, expenses, payroll, provider compensation accruals, and balance sheet accounts.
• Manage corporate accounting for fixed assets, ASC 842 leases, debt, equity, intercompany transactions, contingencies, accruals, and complex accounting areas.
• Oversee Accounts Payable and enhance Coupa P2P automation and adherence to internal controls.
• Lead acquisition and integration accounting, including ASC 805 purchase accounting and integration of acquired entities.
• Manage multi-entity consolidation and intercompany accounting, including eliminations and reconciliations.
• Act as the primary accounting owner of NetSuite, governing ERP configuration, reporting, workflows, integrations, and scalable processes.
• Establish and uphold internal controls, accounting policies, approval controls, reconciliations, segregation of duties, and financial reporting controls.
• Oversee the annual external financial statement audit.
• Investigate complex accounting issues and new standards; prepare or review technical accounting memoranda.
• Collaborate with FP&A and executive leadership on actual results, financial movements, management reporting, and Board reporting.
• Partner with Treasury, Revenue Cycle, Payroll, Human Resources, Legal, Operations, and other functions to enhance financial processes.
• Cultivate accounting talent, succession plans, standardized procedures, and a scalable organizational structure.
• Undertake additional accounting, reporting, systems, and strategic finance responsibilities as assigned by the CFO.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory.
• An active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
• Over 10 years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in a Controller, Corporate Controller, VP of Accounting, or a similar accounting leadership position.
• Extensive experience in healthcare accounting and finance.
• Proven track record in leading accounting for a complex, multi-entity, and multi-location privately held company.
• Practical experience with NetSuite, including multi-entity consolidations, intercompany accounting, financial reporting, dimensions, workflows, and optimization of systems/processes.
• Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting, including ASC 805, ASC 842, revenue recognition, debt, equity, and intricate accounting matters.
• Experience in leading external financial statement audits and managing external auditors and professional service providers.
• Proven ability to build and lead high-performing accounting teams.
• Strong expertise in process improvement, internal controls, systems implementation, and finance transformation.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and executive presentation skills.
• Ability to operate within a decentralized organization and collaborate with corporate leaders and field/practice operations.
