This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and assess journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules.
• Ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP standards.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage the general ledger, accounts payable, payroll recording, fixed assets, and expense reporting.
• Support the SVP, Corporate Controller in the development and enforcement of accounting policies and internal controls.
• Coordinate the annual external financial audit and address auditor inquiries.
• Assist with compliance filings for sales tax, property tax, and corporate income tax.
• Drive ongoing improvements in accounting processes, systems, and reporting.
• Support the maintenance and enhancements of the ERP system.
• Collaborate with IT and finance operations teams.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff or outsourced accounting partners.
• Promote accountability, professional development, and collaboration.
• A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
• Over 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead capacity.
• Exceptional accounting knowledge and expertise.
• Proficient understanding and execution of all U.S. GAAP requirements for American corporations.
• Experience in SaaS or technology companies with ARR-based business models is highly preferred.
• Strong grasp of U.S. GAAP financial reporting standards.
• International experience in managing international teams and knowledge of global accounting operations is a plus.
• Familiarity with Sage Intacct, Avalara, Paystand, Tipalti, and Tesorio is advantageous.
• Strong skills in Excel.
• Comfortable working with large datasets and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to handle competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Proactive problem-solving and process-building abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Experience supporting a company during periods of rapid growth or M&A integration is preferred.
