VP, Core Market Tax Exempt Product Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Target new-logo clients within the tax-exempt retirement plan sector.

• Collaborate with sales and support teams.

• Aid business development initiatives alongside Financial Advisors and TPAs.

• Establish and nurture relationships with Fidelity Account Executives, TPAs, and Financial Advisors throughout half of the nation.

• Provide education to teammates and external partners regarding Fidelity’s processes and services.

• Work with internal partners on significant projects involving Tax-Exempt products, marketing, and sales support teams.

• Assist Account Executives in acquiring new tax-exempt retirement plans within the $20–100M plan market.

• Ensure that the sales strategy positions clients and Advisors for success post-onboarding.

• Serve as the Tax-Exempt subject matter expert for Core Market sales in the $20–100M plan sector.

• Support wholesaling meetings and presentations for sales finalists.

• Offer feedback to the Proposal Database team to enhance database responses.

• Contribute insights on new products and services based on the needs of Financial Advisors, TPAs, and new business opportunities.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.

• Holding Series 63 and 7 licenses is required.

• Knowledge of defined contribution plans, including service models, processes, and platforms.

• Familiarity and experience with tax-exempt recordkeeping.

• A travel commitment of approximately 50% is expected.

• Skills in building relationships and partnering with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Proficiency in coaching and mentoring.

• Strong presentation capabilities.

• A proactive and organized approach is essential.

• Ability to collaborate and forge relationships internally and externally.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Sound business acumen.

• Creative problem-solving skills that merge analytical and critical thinking.

• Agility and adaptability in managing conflicting demands and pivoting as necessary.

• A curiosity about people, business, economics, and product solutions.
