VP, Business Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of workforce management concerning clinician capacity, retention, utilization, and credentialing processes for the largest revenue stream.

• Develop and maintain systems to ensure adequate clinician availability, session volume, and cost-effectiveness.

• Manage gross margin and unit economics by translating workforce performance into cost and margin implications.

• Examine operational and financial data to detect performance variations, identify root causes, and propose actions.

• Convert data and forecasts into actionable recommendations and priorities for Clinical, Recruiting and Credentialing, Operations, Finance, Product, and Go-to-Market teams.

• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders responsible for execution.

• Oversee clinical review operations workflows, throughput, SLAs, and dependencies in collaboration with Clinical leadership.

• Continuously enhance access, utilization, retention, cost efficiency, margin, and scalability.

• Deliver presentations directly to executives and manage stakeholders who do not report directly to you.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in workforce or capacity planning, including forecasting supply and demand, managing a distributed or contract workforce, or scaling a service delivery team.

• Proven ownership of intricate operational programs with direct responsibility for measurable outcomes such as revenue, gross margin, retention, utilization, or cost.

• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to investigate performance independently, identify trends and root causes, and translate data into actionable insights.

• Business and financial acumen, with an understanding of the operational impact on revenue, unit economics, and gross margin.

• Ability to influence others without formal authority.

• Self-motivated prioritization across various workflows.

• Proven track record of transforming disorganized, one-off tasks into documented, repeatable systems.

• Practical experience using AI for analysis, automation, process enhancement, and minimizing manual labor.

• Willingness to work hands-on with dashboards, individual cases, conflicting data, lightweight fixes, and process testing.

• Strong communication skills, particularly with executives.

• Familiarity with SQL, Google Apps Script, Looker, or similar BI tools, workflow automation, or lightweight internal tools (preferred).

• Experience in telehealth, behavioral health, K-12, health plan partnerships, or another operationally complex healthcare setting (preferred).
