This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +3 more states.
• Develop and implement fundraising initiatives for WaterEquity's Financial Institutions investment strategy.
• Secure investor capital from foundations, corporations, family offices, high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), and Donor Advised Funds.
• Create organizational, fund, and investor-specific materials, such as pitch decks, teasers, marketing collateral, and due diligence documentation.
• Oversee all phases of the sales process from targeting to closing, including handling investor inquiries and due diligence requests.
• Aid in investor relations activities while upholding a high standard of client service.
• Offer insights into investor behavior and trends to shape business and product development strategies.
• Assist with both internal and external discussions with strategic partners.
• Represent WaterEquity at selected industry conferences, such as GIIN, SOCAP, and UN Climate Week.
• Work alongside Water.org to enhance awareness of the global water crisis and support capital raising initiatives.
• Keep records of investors and prospects in Salesforce.
• Engage in organization-wide meetings and activities.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, finance, international development, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of relevant experience in business development, fundraising, and/or investor relations.
• Knowledge of alternative investment products, including emerging markets private debt and/or evergreen funds, is preferred.
• Capability to learn and effectively communicate investment and impact strategies to a diverse range of investors.
• An emerging network of investor or industry contacts, especially those interested in impact investing, is advantageous.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities with a proven track record of meeting targets and deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the capacity to engage effectively with various levels of management, staff, and clients.
• A deep understanding of and passion for impact investing and/or international development.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
• Must reside on the East Coast, USA.
