This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Spearhead the evolution of the research function into a forward-thinking, dynamic research and insights organization.
• Create innovative strategies for audience intelligence, advertising effectiveness, digital attribution, and measurement.
• Showcase measurable business outcomes for clients and partners.
• Broaden the organization’s research tools and vendor network.
• Utilize foundational platforms like MRI to produce actionable insights regarding the 50+ audience demographic.
• Represent the organization as a thought leader in the industry with clients, at events, and through research-driven perspectives.
• Convert primary and secondary datasets into engaging narratives and actionable insights.
• Formulate the department’s annual research plan based on organizational needs and available resources.
• Work alongside enterprise leaders and stakeholders to integrate marketplace and consumer insights into policies, advocacy, business strategies, and product or program development.
• Evaluate stakeholder needs and the value of insights produced by the team.
• Engage in external committees and forums to disseminate and adopt best practices.
• Oversee the testing and experimentation agenda, including test design and areas of focus for learning.
• Drive strategic initiatives that have a significant impact on the enterprise.
• Develop scenarios and translate insights into long-term objectives and strategic plans in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Manage market intelligence and insights that support strategic, tactical, and operational decision-making.
• Identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and untapped opportunities.
• Bachelor’s degree in research, marketing, analytics, business, social sciences, or a related field.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in market research, audience insights, consumer research, analytics, media research, or a similar area.
• Proven experience in leading enterprise-level research strategies.
• Management experience that includes leading and developing research professionals, setting goals and performance expectations, conducting performance evaluations, and building high-performing teams.
• Experience in formulating modern research and measurement strategies, especially in digital attribution, advertising effectiveness, audience measurement, and demonstrating business results.
• Capability to translate intricate research and data into compelling business insights and narratives.
• Experience in assessing, implementing, and diversifying third-party research tools, data sources, and vendor collaborations.
• Strong knowledge of MRI or similar syndicated research platforms, including custom audience queries.
• Proven thought leadership and executive presence.
• Experience in presenting research and insights to clients, senior executives, and external audiences.
• Consistent and reliable job attendance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Respectful and understanding towards others to maintain professional relationships.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment in evaluating options and making informed decisions.
• Work effectively in a home office environment with moderate noise levels.
