This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Perform single-visit virtual assessments for employees experiencing work-related musculoskeletal issues across industrial, warehouse, fulfillment, corporate, and office settings.
β’ Utilize structured subjective histories and conduct virtual objective examinations.
β’ Assess work-relatedness, injury acuity, severity, and the appropriate level of care.
β’ Identify and initiate the correct subsequent care pathway: self-directed home program, virtual physical therapy episode, in-person specialist referral, or coordination of workers' compensation.
β’ Analyze disabling conditions and functional limitations to assist in employer accommodation and duty-modification decisions.
β’ Recognize red and yellow flags that necessitate urgent medical escalation and route accordingly.
β’ Produce clear, defensible documentation for workplace accommodation requests, injury reporting, and reviews by payers or employers.
β’ Collaborate and communicate with patients, Care Coordinators, and employer or payer partners to ensure smooth transitions and continuity of care.
β’ Directly engage with employer accommodation team members as necessary to clarify findings or functional limitations.
β’ Keep accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
β’ Follow clinical protocols, escalation pathways, and quality standards.
β’ Report to the Vice President of Care Delivery.
β’ Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from a CAPTE-accredited institution.
β’ Active, unrestricted physical therapy license in the state(s) where care is provided.
β’ Preference for PT Compact State licensure.
β’ At least 3 years of clinical experience, with a preference for 5 years.
β’ Strong clinical reasoning abilities and comfort with making rapid, single-encounter evaluation and disposition decisions.
β’ Comfort in practicing within a virtual/digital care delivery model, including remote assessments and video-based patient education.
β’ Working knowledge of workplace accommodation, duty-modification, or return-to-work documentation.
β’ Primary residence in a PT Compact member state with an active home-state license in good standing to facilitate quick acquisition of Compact Privileges in other member states as needed.
β’ Experience in occupational health, industrial/workplace injury evaluation, or work conditioning.
β’ Experience assessing both industrial/physically demanding roles and office/sedentary roles.
β’ Previous experience supporting an employer-partner or workers' compensation population.
β’ APTA specialist certification (e.g., OCS, SCS) is a plus.
β’ Familiarity with functional capacity evaluations, ergonomics, or ADA/accommodation processes.
β’ Experience providing care in virtual or digital health/telehealth environments.
β’ Experience collaborating in interdisciplinary or integrated care teams alongside medical providers.
