This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +2 more states.
• Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions for clients participating in a virtual Intensive Outpatient mental health program.
• Evaluate clients’ therapeutic needs and create suitable treatment plans.
• Lead group, family, individual, and specialized therapy sessions.
• Conduct psychosocial evaluations, treatment plans, contact logs, discharge plans, and other necessary reports.
• Ensure documentation is completed within specified formats and timelines.
• Monitor and record ongoing assessments of clients’ clinical presentations and behaviors.
• Choose appropriate clinical interventions tailored to individual client requirements.
• Foster therapeutic relationships and promote suitable behaviors and attitudes.
• Execute verbal crisis intervention and de-escalation in a virtual setting.
• Adhere to established client safety and emergency response protocols.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure coordinated care from admission through to discharge.
• Participate in clinical, consultation, and operations meetings.
• Act as a clinical advocate for assigned cases.
• Update referral sources, families, parents, and guardians on client progress as appropriate.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients, families, clinical providers, referral partners, and vendors.
• Complete necessary training sessions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, counseling, or psychology.
• Must possess an LCSW, LPC/MHSP, LMFT, or PhD; PsyD with HSP, in good standing within the state of Tennessee.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience working with clients having a primary mental health diagnosis.
• Tennessee clinical licensure is required.
• Willingness to obtain Iowa clinical licensure.
• Clearance of criminal background check and fulfillment of any other mandatory state/federal requirements.
• Openness to obtaining licensure in additional states as necessary.
• Strong communication skills with peers, clients, families, and external partners.
• Capability to remain seated or stationary for extended periods.
• Ability to speak and hear effectively.
• Capacity to lift up to 15 lbs.
• Familiarity with current theories and evidence-based practices.
• Knowledge of screening and assessment techniques, including psychosocial, pain, domestic violence, substance use, self-harm, and distress assessments.
• Proficient in delivering individual, family, and group behavioral health services through virtual platforms.
• Ability to maintain client engagement, therapeutic presence, privacy, and professional boundaries in a virtual environment.
