This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Conduct group, family, and individual therapy sessions for clients enrolled in a virtual Intensive Outpatient mental health program.
• Evaluate clients' therapeutic needs and create suitable treatment plans.
• Prepare psychosocial evaluations, treatment plans, contact logs, discharge plans, and other necessary documentation.
• Ensure documentation is completed in accordance with prescribed formats and within specified timelines.
• Lead specialized groups and supervise or co-facilitate groups with clinical interns when suitable.
• Choose appropriate interventions tailored to individual client needs.
• Foster therapeutic relationships with clients through encouragement and other positive reinforcers.
• Perform verbal crisis intervention and de-escalation in a virtual setting.
• Adhere to established protocols for client safety and emergency procedures.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team to coordinate care from admission to discharge.
• Attend clinical, consultation, and operational meetings.
• Act as a clinical advocate for assigned cases.
• Communicate client progress to referral sources, families, parents, and guardians as appropriate.
• Maintain relationships with clients, families, clinical providers, referral partners, and vendors.
• Complete required training and other assigned responsibilities.
• Provide evidence-based, culturally competent, client-centered behavioral health care.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives.
• Master's degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, counseling, or psychology.
• Must possess an LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, and/or PhD, PsyD in good standing within the state of California.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience working with clients who have a primary mental health diagnosis.
• Willingness to pursue Colorado clinical licensure.
• Clearance from a criminal background check and compliance with any other mandatory state/federal requirements.
• Openness to obtaining licensure in additional states as necessary.
• Ability to communicate effectively with peers, clients, families, and external partners.
• Capability to sit or remain stationary for extended durations.
• Proficiency in speaking and hearing.
• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
• Competence in current theory and evidence-based practices.
• Cultural competence and the ability to deliver client-centered care.
• Experience with psychosocial, pain, domestic violence, substance use, self-harm, and distress assessments.
• Proficient in providing individual, family, and group behavioral health services through virtual platforms.
• Ability to maintain client engagement, therapeutic presence, privacy, and professional boundaries in a virtual environment.
