Virtual Intervention Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Assist in achieving the educational and behavioral objectives for all students, with a particular emphasis on those with an Individualized Education Program.

• Collaborate effectively with classroom teachers to interpret student strengths and challenges, support classroom intervention strategies, adapt general education curricula as needed, and aid students in completing standard class assignments.

• Administer diagnostic assessments to guide instructional approaches.

• Lead IEP meetings and develop IEP goals and objectives.

• Strive toward student success, fostering a positive culture, and meeting state-specific achievement benchmarks.

• Implement research-based best practices in daily lesson planning and instruction.

• Incorporate culturally responsive teaching methods into lessons and interactions with students, parents, and colleagues.

• Act as case manager for a specific group of students.

• Maintain regular communication with stakeholders about students' academic progress and social-emotional development.

• Participate in cross-team assignments and projects.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Eligibility is limited to residents of Ohio.

• Current Ohio Intervention Specialist License is preferred.

• Familiarity with State Standards and Common Core Standards.

• Comfortable working in a coaching environment focused on growth, which includes frequent observations, debriefing sessions, action planning, and progress monitoring.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Capable of working independently while also contributing to a team dynamic.

• Must pass federal and state criminal background checks (FBI/BCI).

• Experience in a multi-cultural environment is preferred.
