This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.
• Offer technical assistance to sales teams, customers, and stakeholders.
• Conduct physical inspections and condition assessments.
• Supervise product application activities as required.
• Perform technical evaluations of product specifications.
• Deliver technical training sessions and presentations.
• Prepare and present technical briefings for clients and company representatives.
• Generate inspection reports utilizing digital reporting tools.
• Assess sales proposals for technical accuracy and alignment with quality and performance standards.
• Travel to job sites as assigned or when dispatched for projects.
• Collaborate with applicators, distributors, contractors, engineers, and consultants to ensure correct product usage and application.
• Comprehend customer needs and challenges, providing services that enhance coating solutions.
• Work in conjunction with Sales, R&D, Customer Care, and other internal departments.
• Offer technical advisory support on Hempel products and systems.
• Communicate the features and benefits of products and systems.
• Ensure adherence to Product Data Sheets, guiding specifications, technical and industrial standards, procedures, and optimal painting/application practices.
• Collect and document data while preparing work progress reports, including testing, analysis, and interpretations.
• Provide on-site training for coatings applicators and Hempel Sales teams.
• Inform customers about the performance of coating solutions and the value of Technical Services.
• Create and distribute company and customer reports promptly.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and technical tools responsibly, maintaining equipment calibration and condition.
• Monitor and manage project paint inventory, updating Sales teams to prevent shortages.
• Conduct surveys, troubleshoot issues, and devise resolutions as part of Technical Services strategic activities.
• High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 5+ years of experience in the Coating Industry.
• Experience in marine coatings.
• Proficiency in English for business purposes (both oral and written).
• Basic level knowledge of MS Office.
• General computer skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively (up to 80%, both domestic and international) with flexible schedules.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.
• NACE certification is advantageous.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
