This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage Title IV financial aid processing for students enrolled in clock-hour programs independently.
• Assess FAFSAs to determine and verify eligibility.
• Handle awarding, packaging, ISIR corrections, disbursements, calculations, professional judgments, and dependency overrides.
• Ensure compliance with federal student aid requirements while maintaining accuracy.
• Review documentation, identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and support compliant outcomes.
• Engage directly with schools and students across FAME's two service models.
• Clarify financial aid requirements, necessary information, and next steps.
• Communicate with assigned schools through phone, email, and virtual meetings, including monthly check-ins.
• Provide updates on student financial aid matters and foster trusted relationships with schools.
• Investigate financial aid issues, determine subsequent steps, and progress cases accordingly.
• Collaborate with the remote team when additional information or support is required.
• Manage workload effectively while meeting turnaround time, productivity, accuracy, and reliability standards.
• Significant experience in a school financial aid administration department.
• In-depth knowledge of Title IV federal student aid regulations and compliance requirements for clock-hour institutions.
• Extensive experience in administering Title IV financial aid for clock-hour programs.
• Capability to complete packaging and awarding, ISIR corrections, verification, professional judgments, dependency overrides, disbursements, and financial aid calculations independently.
• Strong analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and organized; able to manage detailed tasks and meet turnaround expectations.
• Excellent customer service and financial counseling skills.
• Ability to clearly explain complex federal student aid requirements, eligibility, estimates, and financial aid offers.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to establish trusted relationships in a remote environment.
• Proficient in managing competing priorities, following through, solving problems independently, and collaborating remotely.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Comfortable working with financial aid management systems, student information systems, databases, and virtual collaboration tools.
• Experience with FAME's software is preferred but not mandatory.
• Must reside in the United States and work from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
