Oracle Fusion ERP Functional Lead – Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee the hands-on configuration, design, and readiness for go-live of Oracle Fusion Financials for a spin-off ERP implementation.

• Create the architecture for General Ledger, which includes the Chart of Accounts, ledgers, legal entities, business units, accounting calendars, flexfields, security protocols, and controls.

• Develop journal sources, categories, approvals, recurring entries, and ensure compliance with SOX for journal and period-close controls.

• Establish and manage the comprehensive close sequence and monitoring processes.

• Provide outputs for trial balance, financial statements, and close reporting.

• Design and oversee Subledger Accounting rules across AP, AR, Fixed Assets, and other integrated sources.

• Configure, review, and validate setups for AP, AR, Fixed Assets, and OTC modules.

• Coordinate subledger workstreams with General Ledger to ensure accurate subledger-to-GL reconciliation.

• Develop and configure intercompany accounting, balancing, elimination structures, and reconciliation procedures.

• Specify GL data structures and integration needs for OneStream or a similar consolidation platform.

• Manage the migration of GL opening balances and facilitate subledger cutover and reconciliation.

• Create policies for historical GL migration and data freeze, obtaining auditor pre-clearance as necessary.

• Configure OTBI and standard GL reporting templates.

• Assist with close reporting and the generation of financial statement outputs.

• Act as the Core Financials Subject Matter Expert during the post-go-live hypercare phase.

• Provide end-user training and finalize as-built documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Required experience in OTC workstreams.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• 3–5 years of experience in ERP development.

• At least 2 years of experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud.

• Experience with 2–3 full-cycle Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP implementations covering GL and a minimum of two other Financials modules (AP, AR, FA, or OTC).

• Practical experience in designing Chart of Accounts, Subledger Accounting (SLA), intercompany processes, legal entities, AME, and period closing.

• Strong accounting foundation and capability to collaborate with Controllers, auditors, and Finance leadership on GL design matters.

• Knowledge of SOX control requirements.

• Experience with FBDI.

• Proficient in Excel and SQL.
