This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee Title IV financial aid processing independently for students enrolled in clock-hour programs.
• Evaluate FAFSAs to assess and confirm eligibility.
• Execute financial aid awarding and packaging procedures.
• Handle ISIR corrections and manage disbursements.
• Conduct financial aid calculations.
• Complete professional judgments and dependency overrides.
• Implement federal student aid regulations throughout the financial aid process.
• Scrutinize information and documentation, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues.
• Engage directly with schools and students across FAME’s dual service models.
• Clarify financial aid requirements, necessary information, and subsequent steps.
• Interact with assigned schools via phone, email, and virtual meetings.
• Participate in monthly meetings with assigned schools.
• Provide updates regarding student financial aid matters.
• Investigate financial aid challenges and determine appropriate subsequent actions.
• Collaborate with the remote team to address issues.
• Manage workload effectively while adhering to turnaround times, productivity, accuracy, and reliability standards.
• Contribute to the establishment of FAME's expanding Virtual Financial Aid Office.
• Significant experience in a school financial aid administration department.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Title IV federal student aid regulations and compliance requirements for clock-hour institutions.
• Extensive background in administering Title IV financial aid for clock-hour programs.
• Capability to independently execute packaging and awarding, ISIR corrections, verification, professional judgments, dependency overrides, disbursements, and financial aid calculations.
• Strong analytical abilities.
• High degree of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and well-organized.
• Proficient in customer service and financial counseling.
• Ability to articulate complex federal student aid requirements, eligibility criteria, estimates, and financial aid offers in easily understandable terms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to foster trusted relationships in a remote work environment.
• Capacity to manage competing priorities and work autonomously within a collaborative remote team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Comfortable utilizing financial aid management systems, student information systems, databases, and virtual collaboration tools.
• Familiarity with FAME’s software is preferred but not mandatory.
• Availability to work from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
