This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Train and model the Positive Behavior Support methodology for staff.
• Participate in Interdisciplinary Teams, offering behavioral expertise.
• Evaluate, design, train, monitor, and report on Behavior Plans.
• Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments, including functional analyses.
• Deliver behavior analytic interpretations of assessment outcomes.
• Implement direct behavioral treatment through replacement skills training, social skills training, crisis de-escalation, and both group and individual behavioral treatment, along with skills coaching.
• Engage in an on-call rotation for behavioral issues.
• Oversee restraint usage and provide training aimed at its reduction.
• Monitor instances of challenging behavior.
• Take part in the Behavior Intervention Committee, Human Rights Committee, and other pertinent committees.
• Offer tailored services for patients in specialty intermediate care clinics.
• Adhere to the requirements outlined in 902 KAR 20:410 Specialty Intermediate Care Clinics as necessary.
• Familiarize yourself with and comply with all policies and procedures.
• Board Certified Behavior Analyst certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
• Must hold a valid license in Missouri.
• Doctoral or Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
• Minimum of two years’ experience working with individuals who have intellectual or developmental disabilities.
• Specialized training and/or experience in applied behavior principles, plan execution, data collection, behavior interventions/replacement behaviors, and risk identification/amelioration.
• Documented completion of 10 hours of annual training focused on behavior supports.
• Capability to participate in and demonstrate knowledge of approved crisis management procedures.
• Proficiency in accurately and objectively recording and entering data.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Skill in writing basic correspondence.
• Competence in effectively presenting information in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Ability to apply common-sense reasoning to detailed written or oral instructions.
• Capacity to make independent decisions with sound judgment and attention to detail.
