Video & Social Media Producer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create longform video content for Criminal’s YouTube channel from inception to completion

• Oversee recording sessions, perform initial editorial cuts and make key decisions, collaborate with video editors on drafts, and publish final products

• Develop shortform video content for YouTube Shorts and other social media platforms

• Transform podcast highlights into engaging visual narratives

• Upload archived episodes of the Criminal podcast to YouTube

• Design thumbnails, titles, and descriptions for YouTube videos

• Work alongside show producers on social media strategies to promote podcast episodes, events, and initiatives

• Create image assets, GIFs, stories/reels, motion graphics, video cut-downs, and variations tailored for specific platforms

• Enhance content for optimum platform performance and stay updated on algorithm and format shifts

• Monitor views, reach, engagement, follower growth, and click-through rates

• Integrate performance insights into creative strategies

• Organize asset and template archives while optimizing production workflows

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in producing both longform and shortform video content, particularly for talk-based or interview formats

• Strong storytelling capabilities

• In-depth knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, and motion graphic templates

• Capacity to manage multiple projects/shows concurrently and prioritize effectively under tight deadlines

• Keen attention to performance metrics

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Experience in podcast media or editorial-focused media brands

• Availability during East Coast business hours (9 am–5 pm Eastern Time)

• Familiarity with audio editing or podcast production processes is an advantage
