Vice President – Technology Program Manager, Core Banking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee the production support and delivery for the bank's essential application, Core Banking.

• Formulate and implement the technology support strategy.

• Mentor and guide the team while providing high-quality support services.

• Provide IT solutions that meet both business and functional requirements.

• Manage the SDLC of Core Banking change management, from business requirements to technical specifications, delivery, and post-implementation maintenance.

• Support and oversee the Core Banking system to alleviate financial, reputational, regulatory, and operational risks.

• Lead the Core Production Support function within the parameters of SLA, schedule, budget, and scope.

• Supervise testing and maintain quality and compliance controls throughout the project lifecycle.

• Manage a diversified offshore and outsourced professional team tasked with pan-bank application support.

• Oversee the Run the Bank team, focusing on stability, monitoring, control, capacity management, and incident management.

• Meet agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

• Conduct system analysis and provide support for user issues.

• Offer technical expertise and recommendations for evaluating issues and initiatives to enhance and support systems.

• Review and assess business requirements against current and proposed systems and suggest solution approaches.

• Analyze the impact of functional requirement changes on existing systems.

• Manage solution documentation, including System Requirement Specifications (SRS).

• Prepare and implement Technical Design Specifications and programs.

• Clarify banking concepts to development teams and verify resolution of issues and functionality developed.

• Manage test cases and test data.

• Guide and assist development teams in resolving issues and building functional repositories.

• Grasp bank business requirements and translate them into requirement and functional specifications.

• Implement tailored FLEXCUBE solutions at bank locations and carry out integration testing.

• Specify enhancements and change requests.

• Manage and maintain documentation for custom configurations and parameterization of third-party solutions.

• Provide technical guidance, information, and instruction to IT staff who require broader subject knowledge.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in managing cross-border teams.

• Strong business orientation and domain knowledge to understand user requirements.

• Excellent organizational, team-building, and leadership qualities.

• Engineer/Postgraduate with over 15 years of experience, including hands-on experience in FLEXCUBE 14.x, covering product design and implementation.

• At least 10 years in team management, project management, and overseeing core implementation and support.

• Must possess knowledge of the banking domain.

• Extensive hands-on experience with core banking systems (FLEXCUBE or other core banking solutions).

• Experience in product design and implementation concerning business requirements.

• Strong understanding of the SDLC process.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

• Experience in Banking Operations, specifically in Core Banking, General Ledger, Loans, Payments, Trade Finance, and other related banking channels.
